This tasteful, stone-built cottage enjoys a tranquil woodland location, just one and a half miles from the Scottish village of Archiestown in Moray. Surrounded by wonderful countryside and offering welcoming accommodation for four, this could be the perfect stay for you and your friends or family. Accessed by a single-track road, enter Annfield into a handy utility area, where you can leave your muddy boots and clothes after a scenic countryside adventure. This leads into a stunning kitchen/diner which attractively combines the modern with the traditional, featuring rustic wooden worktops, a Belfast sink and contemporary units, concluding the layout in style. Adjacent to this, you will find the heart-warming dining room which displays a social, wooden dining table and a fabulous woodburning stove in a redbrick fireplace. A vibrantly decorated sitting room also rests on the ground floor, offering the option to watch TV or perhaps to admire the views and even spot the deer in the nearby fields. A retro-style bathroom completes this level, finished with attractive tiling and all-white fittings. The first floor of this Victorian cottage rests under the eaves, with a peaceful sitting area lying at the top of the staircase. A sumptuous bedroom rests either side of this; a double and a twin room, both of which provide access to a classy bathroom boasting a freestanding claw foot bath. In favourable weather, take some time to wander around the mature lawns surrounding the cottage, with rural views available from almost every spot. The delightful village of Archiestown is close by, offering the visitor a handy post office and a superb hotel containing a pub and restaurant. The spectacular town of Elgin lies close by, dominated by its dramatic cathedral, a choice of museums and a variety of quality amenities to make the most of. Lovers of the outdoor can head South to the Cairngorms National Park showcasing the most astounding rural vistas with a range of paths and trails to enjoy. An enticing Victorian cottage in a fine location for touring the wonders of Moray.
Archiestown is a village in Morayshire to the north of the River Spey.
