Guests say

Gordon Lodge is highly praised for its immaculate condition, stylish furnishings, and well-equipped amenities, offering a comfortable and peaceful stay in the Scottish Borders. Guests appreciate the spacious garden, ideal for pets and outdoor dining, and the thoughtful welcome basket. While there are minor issues with maintenance and bin collection, the overall experience is delightful, with many looking forward to returning.

The property consistently receives compliments for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as spotless and very clean. There was a single mention of an uncut lawn and a full bin, but these seem to be isolated incidents.

The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to local attractions, though one review mentioned a lack of activities during poor weather. The area is generally well-regarded for its peacefulness and accessibility to nearby towns and beauty spots.

Guests find the property very comfortable, with special mentions of the quality of the beds and the temperature control. There was a single complaint about heating issues, but this appears to have been resolved.

The property is praised for being well-equipped and having a secure garden. However, there were some issues with bin collection, a power cut, and difficulties with the induction hob, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance and instructions for guests.

The welcome basket and the provision of ample amenities are seen as thoughtful touches, enhancing the guest experience. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but may vary with each stay.

All very comfortable, nice and warm, good tv, seating, beds, fully equipped, everything very clean. Good location for visiting nice places. Only setback the hob is the new induction type and we could not work it - luckily we took our own air fryer! Would highly recommend it for everyone.

Comfy beds and spacious rooms. Great gardens and ideal seating to admire the views. Molly the dog loved the gardens too.

Your bungalow is the most fantastic base for exploring the Borders. We would recommend visiting Holy Island, St. Abbas, Coldstream for the history and Holy Trinity Church in Berwick, a Cromwellian church but with beautiful stained glass windows. Once again thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful property, it is hoped that we will be back!
