Guests say

Adams House in the Scottish Borders is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, cosy cottage and the peaceful, rural setting close to coastal walks and villages. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and thoughtful touches like welcome packs are frequently mentioned.

Guests consistently commend the cottage for its spotless condition, with many reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a standout feature. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment is evident and greatly appreciated by visitors.

The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to coastal walks, beaches, and local villages. While some guests note the need for transport due to its remoteness, the peaceful setting and nearby attractions contribute to a positive experience.

Numerous reviews mention the cottage's cosy and comfortable atmosphere, with a warm welcome and a bed that ensures a good night's sleep. The peaceful surroundings further enhance the comfort level for guests seeking relaxation.

The property is well-appointed with modern facilities and a fully equipped kitchen, as noted by guests. The presence of a drying room for wet equipment and the inclusion of entertainment options like Sky TV and a Bluetooth speaker are appreciated. However, one mention of mould in the shower suggests a slight deduction for maintenance.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently acknowledged through mentions of welcome packs containing items like local eggs, biscuits, and even dog treats. While these gestures are highly valued, it is important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The owners left a welcome pack of crisps, Prosecco, biscuits plus fresh milk from their own cows - a lovely touch! The cottage was spotlessly clean and had quality fixtures and fittings. The owners have obviously taken a great deal of care and attention to detail with the property. The bed was very comfortable, the cottage was warm and well furnished with everything you could need. Parking wasn’t an issue as there was plenty of space in the farm’s courtyard. Mist, the farm collie was a sweetie too! Our dog had use of a little part of the garden which you could use to sit outside if the weather is nice. We were visiting family at Edinburgh which was just under an hour away so it was handy for us - Berwick was about 15 minutes away too, Eyemouth about 10 minutes and Dunbar about 30 minutes or so. The cottage had a book of walks so we walked from to Coldingham Bay and along the creel path to St. Abbs; it was a lovely 7 miles along footpaths and the beach, well worth doing if you have time. We would have liked to have stayed longer but sadly we weren’t able to but will no doubt visit again. Thank you Barry and Elizabeth

The extra little touches and the attention to detail make it feel extra special. Every where you look, inside and out is a feast for the eyes. Barry and Sandra are very welcoming, with just the right amount of friendliness and being available, as well as giving you your privacy. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend
