A stylish property to base an escape to the Ayrshire coast of Scotland, Ardlochan Lodge is surrounded by the beauty of the National Trust for Scotland’s Culzean Castle & Country Park, on the outskirts of the charming town of Maybole. The opening times, visitor facilities and entry prices of all National Trust for Scotland properties and attractions can be viewed on their website here. Set just 50m from the beach, accessible via a public footpath from the front of the property, this contemporary cottage provides a couple, small group of friends or family with all you could need for a wonderful self catering stay. The last remaining gatehouse on the estate, this unique property has been renovated to provide you with every contemporary comfort; the open plan living space offers a place to spend quality time with loved ones whilst gathered around the woodburning stove, with a TV and radio to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and appliances to assist you with any home cooking, while the dining table in the centre of the room provides the perfect space to indulge in a glass of wine. Find two beautiful bedrooms to rest your head after each day of adventure, taking your pick from the master double or the twin room, which can be conveniently made into a double on request to offer you a flexible sleeping arrangement, while both bedrooms benefit from being served by the sleek family bathroom. Enjoy a moment's peace outside each morning, soaking in the splendour of your surroundings from the private lawn and patio garden, before exploring the 600 acres of woodlands, the formal gardens and three miles of coastline. Maybole is a coastal town in Scotland, known to be the ancient capital of Carrick, with rich history dating back the 1100s. There is plenty to discover within the town including the 19th century town hall and the imposing Maybole Castle, with plenty of shops and pubs to while away the hours in. Venture further afield to find even more wonder in Ayr, with the Galloway Forest Park and Culzean Bay being just a scenic drive away too.
