This gorgeous farmhouse on Anglesey, which dates back to the 16th Century, has been lovingly restored and renovated.
The bright, spacious kitchen and dining room, has the original beamed ceiling and a shaker style kitchen. French doors open from the conservatory dining area on to a decked area outside. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, steamer and all the cooking utensils that you could need.
Sofas and chairs surround the wood burning stove in the sitting room. There is a plentiful supply of wood, and a wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.
There is one double bedroom on the ground floor with a fantastic en-suite wet room with loo and wash hand basin. There are three further bedrooms upstairs (two double rooms and a twin). Much care has gone into the details and decoration of these rooms, which have exposed stone walls and original pitch pine floorboards.
There is a fabulous bathroom with a double-ended bath, loo, wash hand basin and separate shower.
The garden has pretty flowering shrubs, with pleasant views across lush pasture land to the hills of Snowdonia. The decked area is great for al fresco meals, and in fine weather, the garden is a lovely sun trap.
Situated halfway between the mountains and the beaches, Plas Cefn Mawr holiday house is just a short distance from Plas Newydd, which is owned by the National Trust. Just down the road, the pretty little bay at Moel y Don on the Menai Strait is popular with fishermen and makes the perfect place to launch a boat. Here you can also join the Anglesey coastal path and experience some wonderful coastal scenery.
Plas Cefn Mawr has all the comforts of the 21st Century and is a beautifully presented and comfortable holiday house.
