Most guests found the cottage clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated reports of cleanliness issues. The majority of reviews reflect a high standard of cleanliness, hence the high score.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, peacefulness, and central position on Anglesey, allowing easy access to local attractions. The quiet and rural setting is consistently appreciated by guests.
Guests frequently mention the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere of the cottage. The secure garden and spacious layout contribute to the overall comfort, although there are some comments about the size of the main bedroom bed for taller individuals.
The cottage is generally well-equipped, with a special mention of the secure garden for dogs. However, there are several comments about the shower facilities needing improvement, which affects the score.
While guests mention welcome treats such as scones and cupcakes, there are not enough reviews referencing consistent thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
Ty Capel is a pretty stone holiday cottage built in 1861 as a Chapel House and now a modern cottage offering happy breaks to all. Inside you will still find the beamed ceilings, sash windows, a wood burner and an open fire, and original floorboards. Nestled in a tranquil countryside setting on Anglesey, there’s the cycle route 566 close by, as well as a lake, sweeping views of Snowdonia and lots of lovely walks.
The living space is open plan and includes the kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen has all you need with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster. The round dining table seats six people. The cosy seating area has comfortable sofas set around a multi fuel stove to add warmth, a T and DVD player. French doors lead out onto the patio and large back garden.
There is a separate snug which is a lovely room with an original bookcase with books of local interest, maps, adult and children's fiction as well as games and a TV. You will enjoy relaxing in here.
Stairs from the hallway lead up to three bedrooms - one double room, one twin room and a room with full sized bunks. Also on this floor is a family bathroom with bath and shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
At the front of the holiday cottage is a small enclosed courtyard. At the back of the cottage is a large garden laid to lawn with patio area, garden furniture and picnic bench. There is ample parking available.
If there are more than six in your party you can also rent out Capel Bach next door which sleeps seven.
Geographical centre of Anglesey. Rural location. Ideally placed to explore the beaches of Anglesey such as Rhosneigr, Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn, where you can learn how to surf or sail, or simply watch the world go by. Sandy Mount House, The White Eagle and Seacroft are all great to eat.

It was so peaceful and quiet and the views across to Snowdonia are wonderful. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

We liked the way the character of the building has been kept with modern alternatives for the windows, beds etc. The views are wonderful and the garden is very suitable for small children and dogs. We misplaced our keys and Howard, the owner, was very understanding and quickly got a spare set to us. We cannot thank him enough with how he dealt with it.

Stunning, large garden looking across to Snowdonia- the dog loved it, and was perfectly safe as he is not a jumper. The shower pressure was absolutely fine. We found we had practically everything provided that we needed when we arrived, and the information book was accurate and helpful. Would recommend the dog friendly Indian restaurant in Llangefni- âGarlicâ- first time weâve ever been able to take the dog to an Indian! Itâs been a great week, with loads to see and do!
