About this property

An impressive, stone-built property enjoying a countryside position within the village of Llanfairpwll. Tan Twr is an outstanding holiday accommodation, enjoying two floors of opulence with everything a group of family and friends could need as they tour this wonderful part of North Wales. Step into the light-filed entrance before climbing the oak staircase to discover the social hub of the home, the open-plan living room, where you can gather with your loved ones to create some wonderful memories. A striking exposed stone wall creates a characterful contrast against the sleek and contemporary kitchen units, inviting you in to cook up a delicious meal. Chefs of the group can look forward to making the most of the double oven, gas hobs, microwave, and fridge/freezer, accompanied by a central island unit offering plenty of preparation space and two chairs to rest whilst dinner simmers on the hob. Once dinner is ready, regroup with your family at the formal dining table and toast to a special occasion or simply to a great holiday in North Wales. After dinner, settle upon the plush sofas within the sitting area and flick on the TV to enjoy a family film night before heading to bed. Ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement, this property comes with four attractive bedrooms situated across both floors. On the ground floor, you will find two king-size bedrooms with en-suites, ideal for two couples, whilst upstairs there is an additional king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom, perfect for families with children. To the exterior, find a plenty of off-road parking spaces and a spacious lawn area, perfect for soaking up the sun during the warmer months and allowing your canine companion to roam. If you do not fancy cooking for the evening, head out to the village centre where you will find a choice of two pubs, as well as a café and a takeaway. The village itself is famous for the longest place name in Europe, so be sure to take a photo of the nameplate at the railway station whilst you are staying here. Enrich your knowledge of the local area further by visiting the National Trust property of Plas Newydd House and Gardens, which is set in parkland and surrounded woodland, offering a leisurely stroll. During the summer months, take a scenic drive to Newborough Beach and laze on the glorious sands whilst admiring the views of Snowdonia National Park before walking to Llanddwyn Island, home to St. Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers. If you are feeling adventurous, travel to Holyhead and hop on board a ferry, taking you to Dublin for the day, exploring the miles of walking routes upon the Snowdonia National Park. Tan Twr will see you returning year after year.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllantysiliogogogoch, also known as Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfair PG, is a village on the island of Anglesey with the longest place name in Europe. Its Welsh name, "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel adjacent to the ferocious whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave," was coined in 1860 as a marketing ploy for the nearby railroad station. Llanfair PG, near the Menai Straits and the Britannia Bridge, is a wonderful place to raise a family. Once you've had your picture taken next to the village nameplate at the train station, it's time to check out the famous visitors centre. Just a few minutes' stroll from the octagonal Toll House, in the direction of Menai Bridge, you'll find the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column, which, for a little price, you can ascend the 115 steps of to take in breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area. On the shores of the Menai Straits, not far from St. Mary's Church, stands Nelson's Monument. In addition to the stunning shoreline of Anglesey, which is just a short stroll away, the area also features a number of excellent pubs with restaurants, specialty stores, and cafes.
