Guests say

Glanrhyd Uchaf is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views, comfortable furnishings, and tranquil location. Guests appreciate the homely touches and the property's spaciousness, making it ideal for families and pet owners. The proximity to the beach and scenic walks adds to the charm, despite some concerns about access roads and RAF noise.

Most guests found the property clean and well-maintained, though there were a few instances of dust and cobwebs, and some guests noted areas that could have been cleaner. The overall impression remains positive, with the property being comfortable and welcoming.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, seclusion, and views, with direct beach access and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted the access road condition and the presence of RAF Valley, which, while entertaining for some, was a disturbance for others.

Guests consistently mention the property's comfort, with comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere, even in bad weather. Some guests suggested improvements such as firmer pillows and better mattresses, but overall, the property is seen as a comfortable retreat.

The property is well-equipped with kitchen amenities and offers ample space. However, guests have suggested the addition of a tumble dryer and better garden furniture. Some maintenance issues were raised, such as the need for a paint refresh and minor repairs.

While guests appreciated little touches like the log fire setup and household items on arrival, there is insufficient information to determine a consistent level of thoughtfulness regarding gifts or special amenities. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

There are many things that need to be done to justify the increase. 1. Cleanliness: drawers, corners, cobwebs, door tops, lamp shades etc 2. New sofa required in lounge to replace the leather one. 3. Information in folder needs updating. 4. Inadequate cleaning products, inadequate supply of toilet rolls. 5. A very unsatisfactory welcome pack. Milk and 2 packs of Welsh cakes really is an insult when one is spending upwards of £2400 to stay. 6. No washing line found. Disappointed there is no tumble dryer. We have enjoyed our stay. The house is in a beautiful position with excellent views across the Cymyran Strait. The above points definitely need to be addressed to justify the increase in price.

Comfortable, stylish, well equipped and very clean. Disabled access was excellent (a grab rail in the shower would be helpful). And the location - wow!!! We had a lovely, peaceful, relaxing week and will definitely be back next year!
