The house is beautiful and very well decorated. Plenty of space for our party of 7 adults, a baby and 2 dogs. The outdoor space was perfect for our dogs to roam and explore. A few issues: - the kitchen doesn’t appear to have an extractor fan. This caused a problem whenever we cooked on the hob (which was daily). This in turn set off the smoke alarms. This was a real nuisance as not only did we have a young baby who was awoken by the alarm, we had to have the patio doors open after cooking to waft any smoke away. This would have been ok in summer but it was winter when we have stayed and cold. We had elderly people in our party so it wasn’t really ideal. We did call Sykes half way through our stay to ask where the extractor fan was (we worried it was something obvious we were missing) they promised to contact us back once speaking with the owner but we never heard. This seems to be quite a major design fault. - the kitchen lacks some basic cooking equipment, measuring jugs and casserole dishes to make things such as a lasagne for example -if you are using the travel cot provided you need to take your own mattress for it. The mattress with the cot is more of a lining for the bottom and it’s very hard and thin - Definetly not suitable for a little one to sleep -the main bathroom shower did not drain well - which one day almost flooded the hallway. We did find the plug hole was full of hair and gunge. - the master on suite shower was really really cold. The heating thermostat on the outside would only let this be turned up to 17 degrees. Again, unsure if this would be warm if it had been the summer One other issue was that there was no direct number to contact the owner to ask basic questions such as these. There was also no message owner facility on the app. All queries had to be called through to Sykes direct which wasn’t ideal and as noted above, we didn’t get a resolution

The only issue was the difficulty in warming up the hot tub and we were unable to use it despite our efforts on two nights. Stunning location but difficult to access with a wheelchair when the tide was high .

Would recommend owners deal with another let company …….one that operates on a more personal level and doesn’t send emails during the stay which if they answered their phone more could have been dealt with before arrival .
