Sitting within striking distance of the east coast of Anglesey in the pretty village of Moelfre is this detached property, Bryn Peris. This two hundred year old cottage (which reputedly once housed Charles Dickens while he wrote about the wreck of the Royal Charter!) is ideal for families in pursuit of a traditional coastal holiday to this part of North Wales, home to the finest beaches and views. The interior of the property enjoys a clever blend of traditional charm and contemporary design, creating a warm and welcoming base to return to each day. Step into the sitting room, where the exposed beams frame the plush seating arrangement and the traditional open fire, a great spot for unwinding and tuning into the TV as the fire crackles. Whilst the sitting room is great for the whole family to come together, the conservatory offers a tranquil space to enjoy an hour's peace and quiet. Certain to entice a spot of home-cooking is the well-equipped, characterful kitchen, home to a Range cooker and everything else you could possibly need to rustle up a local dish or a tasty snack. Join your loved ones within the dining room, where a woodburning stove gently fills the room with warmth as you toast to a wonderful holiday and plan the following day’s adventures. As the evening draws to a close, head up the stairs to catch your rest within one the well-presented bedrooms, each one enjoying lovely views and enough hanging space for your belongings. Choose between two double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom, which has been designed to delight any younger guests of the group. During the summer months, venture out into your garden and soak up the sun on the lawn, offering a great spot for a picnic and spacious enough for your canine companions to stretch their legs. Look forward to strolling around this charming village, where you will find a number of amenities, including the local shop of Rhen Fecws where you can pick up freshly baked bread, homemade cakes and essentials, accompanied by a pub, a fish and chip shop and a number of cafés. Within the surrounding area you will be spoilt for choice by the beaches that are awaiting to be enjoyed, including the village’s local beach, Traeth Bychan, Porth yr Aber and Porth Helaeth, where all kinds of watersport opportunities can be had, from canoeing, kayaking and kite surfing. Further afield attractions include the beach at Newborough, the city of Bangor and Holyhead, where you can catch a ferry into Dublin for the day. Beds really comfy best sleep had in a long time. Garden brilliant size with having a dog. Few things need improving though. Seatteâs so uncomfortable as they are very old and definitely seen their better days. Back ached from sitting on them after a while. We actually bought our camping chairs into the living room half way through the holiday as they were so much more comfortable. Parking! Says parking for one vehicle. If side of the cottage you really need to drop the curb. If through gates at the side the gates need some attention. The hoover really Smelt when we hoovered before leaving. Menai holidays themselves fantastic. Organised a supply of fresh linen because we were there for 2 weeks and a plumber same day when we had a blocked drain.

It was ideal for our family. The cottage was immaculately clean. It is in an ideal spot for walking the costal paths and travelling around Anglesey.

Moelfre is an absolute delight to visit. The cottage is lovely and great for our two dogs as the garden is completely enclosed. The only issue is the shower. It isnât very powerful and the water doesnât drain very well so you end up standing in a shallow bath. Other than that, the cottage has everything you need. Hopefully returning soon.
