This lovely quaint cottage found on the outskirts of the village of Kidwelly, lies adjacent to the manor house and is surrounded by beautiful woodland and enticing landscapes. The Garden Cottage is traditional and quirky, being ideal for couples or a small family to retreat here for a peaceful getaway. On the ground-floor you can find the neat kitchen, home to the essential appliances you need to cook up some delicious meals from breakfast through to dinner. Head into the dining room and gather around the table to serve up the evening’s menu or enjoy a board game with a little bit of healthy competitiveness! This delightful space is benefited by a woodburning stove, perfect for warming you on a chillier evening. Also on this floor you will come to the bedrooms, with the master bedroom hosting a king-size bed and continuing the quaint cottage theme with carefully chosen pieces of furniture and simple décor. The second room is a lovely bunk room which can sleep two adults, a good use of the space and allowing more friends and family to join you on your Pembrokeshire adventure. Completing this floor is the bathroom, which holds a bath with a shower over so you can either indulge in a soak or wake up with a refreshing shower to start your day, the choice is yours. Follow the stairs up to the unique lounge area where you will look forward to returning to after a day out and about, put your feet up on the plush sofa and curl up with a book, or flick on the TV for some down-time. Full of character with its low ceilings and painted beams, you can see views out to the surrounding countryside from the windows, a gorgeous sight, while the velux window in the roof floods in the natural light making this a great place to unwind. With the town of Llanelli and the Millennium Coast close by, this is a holiday location not to be missed.

The cottage is extremely homely, clean and inviting. The lights had been left on for our arrival and we were welcomed by a bottle of wine and a box of Celebration chocolates. All beds were super comfy and clean. Towels were large, fluffy and smelt delightful as did the property when we arrived. The Kitchen had everything we needed to make our stay a home away from home. Morrissons was also a short drive away. The lounge was beautiful and there were amazing views from every window, this was also the case downstairs. The enclosed garden was amazing for my daughters and my 2 dogs to explore and was one of the tidiest gardens I have ever been to in a holiday cottage. There was also an extremely clean BBQ and seating available to use at leisure. Edwin greeted us on arrival and showed us how to use the cooker and made us feel very welcome. He also made it very clear if we needed anything at anytime to make contact, which was reassuring being there on my own with two children. The house was a great place to explore South Wales. Pembrey National Park was amazing for the beach and forest walks. The dogs and my daughters loved it. It was £8 to park all day. There were many activities you could participate in and clean toilets and cafes on site. Tenby was also a beautiful place to visit for shopping and the beach. As National Trust members there are many National Trust places to visit. We especially liked Dinefwr, dogs were also welcome. We visited castles and many other little villages/towns. The Red Lion (less than 3 mins drive from cottage) recommended by Edwin, served amazing food and staff were friendly and welcoming. We booked as suggested by Edwin and we were really glad we did because it was full and this was on a Wednesday night! Both Edwin and Mary came to say farewell, which I thought was a lovely end to the holiday. Thank you to Edwin and Mary for sharing your beautiful cottage and gardens with us. We will definitely be visiting again.

This time our grown up daughters accompanied us and there was plenty of space for us all to spread out, the table upstairs enabled one of our daughters to work remotely for a few hours each day without interruption. Itâs also a great table for completing a large jigsaw puzzle! The beautiful grounds provide a good space for dog walking and the secure garden meant that our dog could have a free wander around and explore through the bushes. The facilities have been well organised and the heated towel was very useful after heavy rain. Thank you Mary and Edwin for such a lovely stay.
