Fisherman's Cottage in Llandysul is a well-renovated, cosy retreat with a wood burning stove and a hot tub, praised for its high standard and welcoming touches. The hosts are commended for their friendliness and the location offers easy access to local attractions and natural beauty. While most experiences are positive, there is a single concern regarding hot tub maintenance.
The cottage received high praise for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotless' and 'clean'. One isolated incident regarding hot tub water quality does not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.
The location is appreciated for its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions, beaches, and walks. However, one review mentioned noise from cockerels, which suggests the location may not be perfect for all.
Guests found the cottage comfortable, with several reviews highlighting the cosy atmosphere and peaceful area. The presence of a wood burning stove and the quality of sleep suggest a high level of comfort.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the hot tub and the open plan living space. However, there was a report of inadequate hot tub maintenance, which necessitates a slightly lower score.
The hosts are noted for their thoughtful gestures, such as providing Welsh cakes, fresh flowers, and the opportunity to engage with farm animals. While these gifts are warmly received, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

The cottage is attached to the owners home but you would never know, it was private and tranquil. Our daughter slept like a log as we did and we had a very much needed shut off to the world. The hot tub was perfect and are dd loved being in it at night when it was pitch black so she could star gaze The eggs were so yummy so please buy them from the hosts you wonât be disappointed. We parked just in the entrance of the farm which was great for unpacking. Will we be back I hope so if they will have us back lol Well worth the five hour journey Ps take the costal rd in as the views are unbelievable

Perfect location for exploring. The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub at the end of each day. The hot tub was clean and checked throughout our stay. The cottage is in a very peaceful location with a lovely walk through the surrounding woodland. We have enjoyed visiting the beach most days with only a short drive (20/25mins away -penbryn) Plenty of other beaches and areas to explore, all listed in an information pack at the cottage. Lovely pub not far away - Daffodil Inn, for a little treat! This was our first visit to Wales and if we return will definitely be booking the Fishermanâs Cottage again.
