Guests say

Ty Bach, Great Orme, is a well-regarded cottage in Llandudno, praised for its peacefulness, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches like welcome packs. Its location offers stunning views and direct access to local walks, though the steep access may challenge some. The property provides a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy living space, despite some feedback on the need for furniture updates.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it well-kept and tidy. However, there are instances of cleanliness concerns, such as finding used masks and sticky floors, which slightly lower the score.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to nature, and easy access to local attractions. The steep and narrow access roads are noted, but many find them manageable and add to the charm of the secluded setting.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and sofa. However, some guests note the need for better mattresses and more comfortable seating, which affects the overall comfort level.

The property is appreciated for its amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen and modern bathrooms. Nonetheless, feedback on maintenance issues like heating problems, weak shower pressure, and electrical faults suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident through mentions of welcome packs and treats for both guests and dogs. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

The cottage having a charging point was one of the main selling points and one of the many reasons we chose to return for a second consecutive year. The charger takes any anxiety out of exploring the area which is really beautiful if you have an electric car. I contacted the owner about the charger and an electrician came around on Sunday to repair the charger so I could use it to charge my car, the local charging infrastructure isn't great. The electrician said he would have been up to repair it on the saturday but it was really wet and rainy that day so not really safe to do the repairs. The owner also offered me the use of his alternative private charger down in Llandudno itself which was much appreciated but I had managed to put some volts into my car from a leisure center charger while we were out shopping in Llandudno. The cottage was much the same as the last time we stayed with the exception of a different sofa which had been replaced for a newer one. The cottage is an adequate clean, tidy, warm and functional base to chill and explore the surrounding area, it's in a great location a short walk to the copper mine and not far from the Great Orme Summit. In my experience if you have an issue text the owner and I'm sure he will do his very best to quickly sort it for you. Thanks for a nice stay.

The electric car charger, a key reason for choosing this cottage, didn't work. Fortunately I took my own lead. The squeaky bed and poor mattress should be replaced. We didn't sleep well. Towels were thin and poor quality. Take your own.

Wild goats and sheep coming into the drive an absolute bonus. Reluctant to be negative BUT the beds' lack of comfort spoilt things a bit dreadful mattresses, l slept on sofa. Both shower units faulty , ie scalding/freezing, and the heating kept going off meaning jumpers and socks going on - in July. If these issues are addressed then a perfect holiday cottage.
