The village contains everything needed for a self-catered stay, including a farm shop, The Fox pub offering traditional fare, a village hall, and a florist, while Bridgend, further into the county, is a hub of amenities. In terms of attractions, Merthyr Mawr Natural Reserve and Ogmore Castle are located on either side of the River Ogmore, while Dunraven Bay and its clifftop viewing point are close by. With its expansive seafront, the Grand Pavilion, the Porthcawl Museum, and The Wilderness Lake, Porthcawl is a must-stop off while in the area.
