Drovers Barn in North Wales & Snowdonia offers a peaceful and scenic getaway with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and a hot tub that is a hit among guests. The property's remote location provides stunning views and is ideal for large groups seeking tranquillity. While some guests encountered issues with hot water and the wood-fired hot tub, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found the property to be clean and well-presented. However, a few noted issues with cleanliness such as dirty floors, stained crockery, and cobwebs, which suggests room for improvement in ensuring consistency in cleanliness standards.
The location is praised for its quietness, remote setting, and stunning views, making it an excellent choice for those looking to escape and enjoy the countryside. The single-track road access may be challenging for some, but it contributes to the property's secluded charm.
Guests generally found the property comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and underfloor heating. Some guests noted that the lounge furniture could be more comfortable, and the hot tub can be difficult to regulate.
The property is well-equipped for large groups, with ample space and kitchen facilities. However, there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as non-working TVs, hot water problems, and a challenging wood-fired hot tub. These issues indicate a need for better upkeep and possibly upgrading some amenities.
While many guests appreciated the property's amenities and the owner's responsiveness, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Everybody loved the Barn and its beautiful surroundings . All bedrooms were perfect and the bathrooms beautiful with great showers . A truly well kept holiday cottage with under floor heating and the added bonus of a hot tub . We hope return .

Most bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. However I would not describe this property as luxury. The towels were frayed and were âgreyâ, no longer white. The soap-dispensers are more suited to a hostel type environment. The garden was covered in weeds and not maintained at all! The freezer needs defrosting (we chipped away the ice as best we could) and the dishwasher needs rinse aid. We were 4 single adults so the three ensuite rooms worked well, but the twin room is a considerable distant from a bathroom which meant we had to use the childâs room with a bed not designed for an adult. Overall the property is soulless - no throws, no design, no nice touches and a huge sofa facing a blank wall with a TV. Why not have seating looking out of the windows with a table by the walls.and convert the dining room to an en-suite bedroom? We moved the small chairs to face the window but found one to be broken so had to use a dining room chair. Also I have never stayed at a âluxuryâ property that does not provide a welcome pack. The property is remote and because of the walks around it I would have thought is more suited to adult stays. We were seeking a bit of luxury with fabulous views and walks; we did get two out of three.

Property itself was immaculate when we arrived and arrival instructions were clearly communicated in advance. The owners are extremely helpful and always responded to queries raised in a timely manner. The grounds of the barn are perfect for families and/or groups. We can't wait to go back already.
