Llangollen 1.5 miles. Resting in an elevated position just outside peaceful village of Llangollen, North Wales lies this gorgeous barn conversion, Barn 2. With magnificent views of countryside hills, this superb property makes an ideal base for a family holiday, any time of year. On arrival at the barn, park your car in one of two off-road spaces and make your way into your home-from-home for the trip. Enter the open-plan living space, sure to be the social hub throughout your stay, and take advantage of the kitchen, home to all the appliances you need to rustle up tasty meals for your loved ones. Enjoy your home-cooked meals at the dining table before sinking into the sofa to watch a film on the TV. As the evening draws to a close, make your way up to the first floor where three bedrooms await, fit with zip and link beds and plenty of storage; the master bedroom hosts a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with an additional walk-in shower, while the remaining two bedrooms house another king-size and a twin, each with en-suite shower rooms. Spend some time admiring the countryside and rolling hills, or perhaps enjoy a moment of peace with a coffee and a book in the crisp morning sun. Within easy reach are the National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig, and further afield you will find the charming towns of Corwen and Ruthin.

It was perfect, with each bedroom having an en suite bathroom so everyone could get ready at the same time. The barn is fitted out to a high standard and is situated in the spectacular Llangollen valley, ideal for exploring the beautiful local area. We were able to do plenty of sightseeing during the rest of the weekend. There is also the advantage of having the Sun Trevor pub next door which serves delicious food and drink. Special thanks to Katy, Paul and the rest of the staff who were very friendly, happy to provide advice on the local area and made us feel extremely welcome. We would have no hesitation in coming back and would recommend the barn to anyone looking to stay in the area. David, Rachel, Amy, Sam and Bailey
