Take advantage of your close proximity to the River Clywd and take a scenic walk along the water right up to the centre of Rhyl and onto the beach, either relax on the sands in warm weather or enjoy the host of seafront attractions. Visit SeaQuarium Rhyl, where over 30 exhibits and a range of species can be found as well as an outdoor cove for seals, Welsh Dragon Adventure Golf offers a few hours of fun, whilst keen golfers can delight in a course with a view over at Rhyl Golf Club, with Jasmine Cottage situated near Rhuddlan Golf Club too for something closer to home. Rhuddlan Castle can be reached via a short stroll from the cottage and is a beautiful example of a 13th century stronghold, resting by the riverside, venture down to Denbigh to visit Denbigh Castle featuring a triple-towered gatehouse with amazing modern technology bringing you back in time thanks to sensors which trigger sound effects of the portcullis thundering down, chains rattling and even marching soldiers. Explore the beautiful Georgian castle of Gwrych Castle and Gardens afterwards spending time with the lovely animals at Manorafon Farm Park. Rhuddlan is a village resting alongside the River Clwyd in North Wales, just a stone's throw from the coast at Rhyl. Here you can find the Rhuddlan Golf Club, 13th century ruins of Rhuddlan Castle overlooking the river gate, and Rhuddlan Local Nature Reserve, creating a historic atmosphere to enjoy a break to North Wales.
