Bethania Chapel Annex receives high praise for its welcoming hosts, Simon and Jo, and the exceptional welcome pack. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches, including provisions for dogs. The location is ideal for exploring North Wales, with easy access to coastal walks and local amenities. The annex's facilities, including a sauna, are well-regarded, contributing to a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Reviewers consistently mention the immaculate condition of the property, highlighting its cleanliness and well-kept grounds. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment contributes to the overall positive experience.
The property is praised for its ideal location, suitable for exploring North Wales, Chester, and Liverpool. Its proximity to the coastal path and local towns is appreciated, although one comment about local pubs/restaurants being closed suggests some limitations.
Guests find the annex very comfortable, with special mentions of a cosy bed and settee. The warm and homely atmosphere, along with the property's quietness, enhances the comfort level for visitors.
The annex is well-appointed with a sauna and a well-provided kitchen, and guests are pleased with the additional amenities like Sky Q, Netflix, and secure parking. The facilities are described as beyond expectations, although there is a single mention of a noisy bantam cock.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the generous welcome pack and considerations for dog-friendly stays. While the welcome pack is highly praised, it should be noted that such gifts, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed.
This impressive chapel conversion dates back to 1936 and is set within its own garden, in the charming North Wales town of Bagillt. Boasting an elevated position with views towards the Dee Estuary, this semi-detached wing of the chapel offers superb accommodation for a couple seeking a well-earned break. The interior is bursting with character with a high ceiling in the bedroom, stripped back floor boards and markings etched into one section of the wall, done by the original workforce during construction. You can rustle up a delicious meal in the kitchen and enjoy a bottle of wine before unwinding in the lounge as you catch up on your favourite TV programmes. There is beautiful parquet flooring and a large mural on the wall, which is the main focal point in the room. On return from a walk along the Wales Coastal Path, enjoy a spot of relaxation in the sauna room, where you can stream your favourite music through the Bluetooth sound system and them hop straight in the wet room shower opposite. The ground floor also plays host to a handy utility housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, and French doors lead out to the rear, enclosed courtyard, where you can soak up a pleasant afternoon with a drink. Climb the spiral staircase from the lounge and find a king-size double bed on the mezzanine landing, with an en-suite bathroom. Natural light fills the space each morning from the low, chapel-style, frosted windows as you wake up to your first cup of coffee for the day. The bedroom Velux blind is remote controlled and the ones from the en-suite offer views of green fields to the rear. A sunny afternoon will invite you to share the views towards the estuary, as you sit within the orchard on the garden furniture and chat about times gone by. Also within walking distance is the local family run pub The Ship Inn which has an extensive food menu with great reviews. Discover the local amenities within the town or pay a visit to nearby Holywell, with a variety of attractions awaiting your arrival. Manchester and Liverpool are also within easy reach. You also have the city of Chester an easy drive away, with its famous zoo and a wealth of shop, pubs and restaurants as well a walks along the Roman Wall. The coastal resort of Colwyn Bay is also worth a visit, as is the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, a superb base for touring a lovely region of Wales.
This small town rests near Holywell in North Wales and overlooks the Dee Estuary, with a few local shops, pubs and parkland, and the Wales Coastal Path passes through the town by the side of the River Dee. Because I didn't know the area at all, I was trying to book restaurants and places to go. This is where conversations between Simon (the owner) started. It was like we had known each other for years, he was so helpful and continuously going the extra mile. Once we arrived at the property and seeing my wife's face I quickly realised that it was a 10/10. The property was stunning and I challenge anyone to find something that hasn't been thought of or provided for, I can honestly say hand on heart it is by far the best property to rent we have ever stayed in the property is stunning. The owners are incredible. All I have left to say is Thank you, you helped make an important occasion perfect. All the best wishes and we shall see you soon Michael & Rachel

You made us and our dogs very welcome and the greeting pack was such a thoughtful gift. Every provision for a holiday was there, nothing left out that we may have needed, even a picnic set. We had great fun exploring North Wales all day and. Coming back to a comfortable evening. Thank you!!!
