Beudy Hywel is a highly praised cottage in North Wales, celebrated for its peaceful and picturesque setting, ideal for exploring Snowdonia. Guests consistently commend its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and well-equipped facilities. The owner's thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts, add to the delightful experience, although these are not guaranteed for every stay.
Guests frequently describe the cottage as spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. One review mentioned minor cleanliness issues, but this seems to be an isolated case in an otherwise exemplary record.
The location is universally lauded for its stunning views, proximity to local attractions, and perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility, making it an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas.
The majority of guests find the cottage warm, cosy, and comfortable, with a few noting the softness of the mattress and sofa. Overall, the comfort level is highly rated.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage being well-equipped and offering modern amenities. Some guests noted the absence of a washing machine and minor issues with a sofa bed, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures by the owner, such as welcome packs and treats for both guests and pets. While these are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.
Llanrug 1 mile. A delightful, detached barn conversion, set in its own 1/2 acre of rough paddock, on a secluded part of the owners' land on their sheep farm, one mile from the village of Llanrug, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in scenic North Wales. This charming single-storey Llanrug cottage has been superbly renovated to offer light, airy and spacious accommodation, with an entrance hall that leads to an open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The living area boasts a galleried ceiling, revealing exposed oak beams, plus an inglenook fireplace houses a remote controlled feature fire, and there is the added bonus of a corner sofa, which converts into a double bed. A door leads through into a small dressing room and then into the king-size double bedroom with stylish en-suite bathroom. Outside this Snowdonia cottage is a pleasant patio and lawned garden, which has a 'canal' water feature and provides an ideal place for enjoying a meal or cold drink on a sunny evening. Herb and rockery gardens are also in the grounds, and guests have access to a paddock area where elevated views towards Snowdon Mountain can be seen. This Llanrug cottage is approached via a private gravel track across sheep fields, which gives it a great feeling of isolation, however, you're only a 5-minute walk from the local village pub. An outstanding Snowdonia cottage surrounded by countryside walks, ideal for romantic getaways or activity weekends whenever you wish.
The small village of Llanrug has two pubs, two shops and a Post Office. Llanrug is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, and is only three miles from Llanberis.
