About this property

Llety'r Wyddfa rests in an elevated position on the edge of Llanberis, with beautiful countryside views. This property boasts a close by lake, easy walks to local shops and pubs, as well as off-road parking, and is an ideal base for friends, a family, or two couples looking for a getaway to Gwynedd. Climb the steps and be welcomed into this thoughtfully laid out, reverse-level property, discovering the two bedrooms on the ground floor. Both bedrooms offer a homely space to recline after a day of exploring, and include a king-size with fantastic countryside views, and a twin with an en-suite shower room. On the first floor, find a light and airy open-plan living space, with tasteful furniture and a whole host of amenities to cater to your holiday needs, as well as features such as wood panels. Head over to the well-fitted kitchen, the ideal spot to cook up a storm, beside which there is a charming bench dining space for guests, as well as a fold out dining table ideal for hearty meals, and afterwards settling into the plush sitting area with a glass of your favourite beverage. On the first floor there is also a shower room and access to the rear garden via patio doors. When the sun is shining, head out into the patio space and dine alfresco, taking in the countryside air and the distant views of Snowdon, and outside there is also a handy external utility with a boot room and bike storage. Llanberis is a delightful countryside town offering a host of convenience stores for all of your holiday essentials, as well as a selection of tasty eateries and pubs, with options including Y Gwynedd Y Ddraig, FRÂN LAS, Lone Tree Café, and Caffi Deli Llygad Yr Haul. The town rests beside Llyn Padarn, where you can find the National Slate Museum, watersports facilities, Dolbadarn Castle, and walks at Ceunant Mawr Waterfall. Further from the property, discover the incredible Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, where there are many stunning walks strewn throughout the scenery, mountain biking trails, adventure sports including white water rafting and climbing, Zip World, and of course hikes up Snowdon itself, boasting incredible views. Head over to Caernarfon for a day at the seaside, where there is another intriguing castle, or visit Anglesey where there is Anglesey Sea Zoo, and many incredible beaches throughout the Anglesey AONB. All of this is just waiting to be explored with a stay at the lovely Llety'r Wyddfa

Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
