Gwylan Uchaf is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its breathtaking views, spaciousness, and the inclusion of a hot tub. Guests have enjoyed the property's location, ideal for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia. The accommodation has been described as high-end, with a welcoming atmosphere and festive decorations when appropriate.
Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, though there were isolated reports of cleanliness issues such as dirty kitchenware and an old pair of socks found on the floor. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views of the Menai Strait and convenient access to local attractions. It's described as a great base for exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia, with a quiet and peaceful setting.
The property is generally considered comfortable, with ample space for large groups and multiple lounges. However, some guests mentioned that certain beds were not as comfortable as they could be, and the presence of a camera pointed at the hot tub caused discomfort for some.
Facilities like the hot tub and kitchen appliances are appreciated, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as ill-fitting doors, broken steps, and the need for a kitchen revamp. Some guests also suggested the addition of more kitchenware and clearer instructions for appliances.
Guests have noted thoughtful touches like welcome packs with cakes and tea, festive decorations, and flowers. However, it's important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

We welcomed the Autumnal/Halloween decorations. The dining area within the kitchen was a little cramped, making it difficult to manoeuvre around the table and access the oven, hob and fridge whilst eight of us were seated. A more plentiful supply of cutlery would have been useful, to prevent putting the dishwasher on after each meal. Plastic âglasswareâ for use in the outdoor patio area near the hot tub would be an advantage. As noted in the pre-arrival information the hot tub was too cold to use on the first evening, but we were able to use it comfortably on the remaining two days of our stay.

Slightly unusual layout of the building added a few more trips up and down stairs than would have been ideal for a group that had just completed several ascents of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Accommodation was otherwise brilliant
Amanda
Very well equipped and worked our excellently for a family of 8. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again at some point.
