For walkers, move towards Crickhowell and embark on a trip up Sugar Loaf Mountain (8 miles), an easy start before hiking any of the Black Mountain summits (20 miles). Alternatively, drive to Monmouth (16 miles) and embark on Offa’s Dyke Path, a sprawling pathway that follows the contours of the England-Wales border.
