This former dairy building features a modern interior styled in soft neutral tones with vibrant splashes of colour. Unlace boots and brush off muddy paws before padding into the open plan heart of the home. After a day of exploring, sink onto the deep leather armchairs with a post-adventure brew. Thumb through some local guidebooks or pour over your action shots from the day. As the evening draws in, cook up supper in the compact shaker kitchen complete with coordinating appliances. Pop some fizz then tuck into a celebratory spread at the intimate dining table. In warmer months, prop open the patio door and venture outdoors to enjoy a nightcap beneath the stars. When night falls, retire to the comfort of the airy super-king/twin. When dawn breaks, freshen up in the contemporary shower room before planning out the day’s adventures over breakfast on the patio.
Embark on a sandy saunter along the stretch of coastline at Amroth Beach (4 miles) or soak in far-reaching ocean views as you hike along the coastal path to Saundersfoot (7.5 miles). From Saundersfoot harbour, feel the salty ocean spray during a boat trip to Caldey Island (12 miles) then get lost in the ancient, cobbled streets of Tenby (11.5 miles).

Rose Cottage is one of 6 rental properties on the site. It’s in a quiet, rural area overlooking a field of goats! There are no shops at all in the area, the nearest supermarket is 5 miles away. The village pub has signs up advertising food but there was none to be had. The cottage is small but well laid out & very comfortable. However, equipment was minimal. There were no Pyrex type bowls or vegetable steamer to use in the microwave; oven gloves weren’t provided; there was a vacuum cleaner but no dustpan & brush. In the bedroom there was a 13.5 tog duvet on the bed with no other choice provided. It was a fairly cold week when we were there last week but if it had been the usual temperature for July we would’ve needed much lighter bedding. We took 2 dogs & there was a nice, enclosed field for them to run in with a mowed path all the way round. It was difficult drying them off in the cottage as you step straight into the lounge from outside so need to have plenty of towels for them to stand on. The friendly hosts live on site & were available to answer queries. We stayed at a cottage in North Wales in May which was considerably larger, had a large garden front & rear, lots of equipment, books, board games, didn’t charge extra for dogs & was cheaper than Rose Cottage.

A wonderful little property located for ease of access across Pembrokeshire and parts of the Gower coast. Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Huge and comfortable bed, just the perfect thing after a day spent in the fresh air admiring the wonderful views
