Guests say

Bwthyn Y Jacdo is a well-received cottage offering a cosy and comfortable stay with stunning views and a secure garden for dogs. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and Welsh cakes. The location is praised for its tranquillity and proximity to attractions, though some guests note the need for a car to access nearby facilities.

Most guests find the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests have mentioned issues with cleanliness, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom, which slightly affects the overall score.

The cottage's location is highly regarded for its peacefulness and beautiful views. It serves as a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire, although it is noted that a car is necessary to reach local amenities and some guests found it more remote than expected.

Guests consistently report that the cottage is cosy and the beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The warm welcome and cosy atmosphere contribute to a relaxing experience.

The cottage is well-equipped with necessary amenities and a wood burner, which guests enjoy. However, there are suggestions for improvement, such as the addition of a wall-mounted shower and a shower curtain to enhance the bathroom facilities.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with numerous mentions of welcome packs including flowers, eggs, milk, and Welsh cakes. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, they are a kind gesture and may not be provided for every stay.

It is very well appointed even with an air fryer. Sadly the weather was not on our side but the comfiness of the cottage helped alleviate that. We had use of the paddock to exercise our energetic dog which was well used. Ducks, hens and sheep completed the scene. We hope to return.

In addition to all its valors (as per other reviews and the property description), Diana and her husband make wonderful landlords. Lovely friendly people. Generous and hospitable. I was offered fresh chicken eggs and veg from their own garden. Some of it was a purchase but some - a gift! Thank you. We hope to come back to your charming cottage and see you all again!
