Some minor issues with shower pressure and heating are noted, but overall experiences are very positive.

The lodge is appreciated for its quiet, beautiful setting in South Wales, with a babbling stream and proximity to local towns and attractions. Some guests mention the rural location requires driving on local roads, but this is generally seen as part of the charm.

The majority of guests find The Hen Pen comfortable and cosy, with special mentions of the comfortable beds. However, a few guests noted issues with the shower and central heating, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Rob was a lovely, kind host - around if needed but not at all intrusive. The henpen was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We didn't even have to strip the beds etc at the end, it felt so hassle free. Talking of the bed - the mattress was so comfortable my husband looked at the brand for future reference! The garden was incredible and very secure for our dog. We had some issues with the Internet but mostly when trying to stream films etc to our amazon stick - Rob was very helpful though and even started to look into upgrading the system. Really wonderful hosts. Great location too - cardigan bay is amazing, as is poppit sands beach. Thanks again for a lovely holiday.
