Close to the centre of the lovely seaside town of Newport/ Trefdraeth, this pretty stone cottage makes a great holiday base for a couple or small family. Within a 5 minute walk of the cottage you could be bird spotting on the Nevern estuary, enjoying a meal and a drink in one of the friendly local pubs or exploring the coastal path.
Newport is in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and there is superb walking in all directions.
The local shops provide for most of your needs and there is a weekly, local produce market.
Nearby are Fishguard, Cardigan, St Dogmaels and St Davids.
Newport is a beautiful coastal town in Pembrokeshire, south west Wales lying on the River Nevern with a selection of shops, pubs, tea rooms, plus an excellent golf course overlooking the sea as well as a lovely sheltered harbour. Newport lies on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is renowned worldwide for its unique landscape and wonderful opportunities to go dolphin and seal spotting. Wonderful coastal walks along the path or in the nearby Preseli Hills with the ever changing scenery are a walkers dream all year round. Learn about history when you visit the mills, craft centres and castles dotted around the county or spend a day at the wonderful Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort where you can learn hands on all about living during that time. See the majestic Shire Horses at the Shire Horse Farm or spend relaxing days on the huge choice of beautiful sandy beaches. All year round this is a perfect location for all the family.

The patio at the back is partially shared with a neighbouring property, but is fenced off for privacy and Brynawelon guests have exclusive use of the garden.

My only negative is that the outside lights have never worked. The house was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise along with a thoughtful festive welcome hamper. We will be back!

Great shows. But incredibly noisy stairs, difficult access for anyone with bad knees! Not very comfortable beds, no washing machine, no separate toilet. Minimum equipment. Donât like being told to strip the beds and clean up before I leave. And worse a gardener arrived at 9 on the last day at 9am and started weeding outisde our living room! And then strimming. We couldnât go out in the garden. And it was an invasion of our privacy. Also absolutely impossible to get hold of Sykes by phone.
