Chart House is a lovingly restored Grade II listed town house perfectly positioned in the Pembrokeshire seaside town of Tenby. It’s rare to find a holiday home that offers such a dream combination: year-round tranquillity on a quiet cobbled street, with golden beaches, shops and town centre restaurants just minutes away. Whatever the season, Chart House is the perfect escape for families, friends and couples alike; and fabulous to visit during the cooler seasons, when you can make the most of the quieter beaches, walks and restaurants.
With sea views from many of the rooms, the elegant interior of Chart House has been beautifully updated to offer luxury and modern style whilst retaining the traditional character of this handsome building. The generous accommodation includes two comfortable sitting rooms; a superbly equipped kitchen opening into a light and spacious dining room; and, nestled up a narrow staircase on the top floor is a fabulous chill out/games room with PS4 games console and board games - a perfect hideout for older children or teenagers and ideal for entertaining on a rainy day or after a day on the beach. Outside, a small courtyard terrace offers an intimate space for morning coffee and evening drinks.
Tenby is a fabulous seaside location for your next holiday, with remarkable coastal and countryside walks, three golden sandy beaches and a thriving town centre steeped in history. Whilst hugely popular with visitors during the summer, Tenby is a wonderful destination during the quieter months, when you can enjoy its magic without the crowds and take advantage of Chart House's cosy and warm welcome after a bracing stroll along the beaches. Tenby’s medieval town streets are off limits to cars during the summer months, adding to the picturesque appearance and relaxing atmosphere. However, it’s always possible to park and unload right outside Chart House. Cars can then be moved to our reserved parking spaces just a short walk away. We stayed during February half term & found masses to keep us busy – although locals mentioned it was out of season. Really? We’d love to return to see what we didn’t manage to get to! Particular highlights: beach walks (in the sunshine!) & beachcombing; relaxing after our walk in a cosy pub with friendly locals; wondering Tenby's streets discovering a plethora of superb quality local produce – the butcher, the Baker & the candlestick maker (in the form of the fantastic hardware shop), the market amongst others. Trips to St Davids & Pembroke Castle were memorable. Solva Woollen Mill’s working loom was a delight – I spotted their gorgeous bedspreads at Chart House! The Pembrokeshire Coast Path was stunning – especially the section from Barafundle Bay to St Govans & then towards Freshwater West. Returning to a roaring fire & rustic soup with gorgeous bread from the bakery was 7th heaven. Although just the 3 of us, the generous accommodation completely moulded to all our needs – our son was super impressed with the games room & took up residence in the snug lounge. We luxuriated in the 1st floor sitting room – such an inviting & tranquil space: total relaxation guaranteed! Something for everyone & all boxes ticked re entertainment choices. All the little touches are so welcoming – the basket with fantastic local produce, beautiful attention to interior detail, divine room fragrance. WHAT A SPECIAL HOME! A real sense of calm washed over us within minutes of arriving. We can't thank you enough for such a wonderfully relaxing week – I feel about 10 years younger!
