A small flight of stairs leads to the large lounge, which is decorated in a contemporary style, with little pops of colour in the accessories and soft furnishings. Wander amongst the pretty, Georgian streets of Brecon, popping into the independent shops and galleries, before grabbing some lunch in one of the town’s many cafes or restaurants. After lunch, head down to the canal basin to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Other popular walks in the town include the fascinating History Trail and the walking/cycling route of the Taff Trail. Further afield, you’ll find exhilarating hikes in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), including to the summit of Pen y Fan (4 miles).
