Come home to a warming wood burner in the lounge and a private garden offering far-reaching rural views.
Inside, the open-plan kitchen/diner is an inviting space for entertaining, where a spacious wooden table with benches sets the scene for sociable meal times, complemented by personalized OS maps for planning your day. The kitchen leads to a cosy lounge with garden views, a wood burner, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and a well-stocked bookcase. The hallway provides access to a snug with a corner sofa, Smart TV and DVD player, and plenty of cushions and throws. A handy cloakroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs, four bedrooms offer comfortable accommodation. A generously sized super-king-size room at the rear provides stunning countryside views. Additionally, there’s a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom with village views, and a single room featuring a day bed suitable for an extra adult. The first floor also houses a gleaming family bathroom and a separate shower room. Surrounded by enclosed gardens with breathtaking views of established farmland, the cottage includes a patio area with a circular table and chairs for summer dining and a storage shed for bikes and outdoor equipment.
The peaceful village of Velindre, situated amid the Black Mountains’ foothills, lies between the traditional market towns of Talgarth (3 miles) and Hay-on-Wye (5 miles). Conveniently located, the cottage provides easy access to the village inn and well-marked footpaths leading into the hills. Outdoor enthusiasts can indulge in various activities, from boating on Llangorse Lake (8 miles) to kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, and horse riding at nearby activity centres. For a more relaxed pace, charming market towns such as Hay-on-Wye (5 miles), Crickhowell (15 miles), and Brecon (12 miles) are within easy reach.
