About this property

Betws-y-Coed 3.5 miles.

A traditional stone-built detached farmhouse, set on a 150-acre working hill farm providing one of the best views of the beautiful Conwy Valley, just 3.5 miles from delightful Betws-y-Coed. Renovated to provide quality, well-equipped accommodation with a traditional theme, this wonderful Wales cottage also offers all modern fixtures and fittings, including an open fire, fitted kitchen and four poster bed. With lovely views and walks from the property, this is the perfect location for a family holiday or a romantic break. Enjoy delightful Betws-y-Coed with riverside walks, a golf course, excellent pubs, shops, restaurants and the Tree Top Adventure High Ropes Course. A perfect farm cottage base for exploring Conwy and Caernarfon castles, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Bodnant Gardens, Victorian Llandudno, the medieval walled seaside town of Conwy and all of Snowdonia.

The outdoors lovers' haven of Betws-Y-Coed is surrounded by dense woodland and impressive mountains, and is known as the Gateway to Snowdonia. The River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west at Betws-Y-Coed, and North Wales' most popular inland resort offers cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. The most magnificent of the waterfalls is Swallow Falls, found where the waters of the Llugwy River fling themselves into a dramatic chasm. The village is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, and also marks the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the towns of Llandudno and Conwy. Betws-Y-Coed has a good choice of shops, pubs, eateries, a riverside golf course and the enjoyable Woodland High Rope Activity Centre.

Arwel and Linda were fantastic hosts, couldn't have been more helpful. Log store to fuel the real fire. Took my dog (Rotty) , Brother and my mother for a treat. More than enough space. It is hilly so a DD could be useful if you want to go for a night in Betws y Coed where I recommend the Gwydwr Hotel for food or the Eagle in Llanrws, both dog friendly. Great 4 night stay. Diolch

Very accommodating owners, and the cottage was great for an autumn break in the hills.
