Guests say

Bodhyfryd, a traditional Welsh cottage in Penmaenmawr, is praised for its comfort, stunning location, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate its character, cosy ambience, and the peaceful garden. While some cleanliness issues were noted, the property's charm and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts contribute to a memorable stay.

Several guests reported cleanliness issues, such as dust and unclean kitchenware, which detracted from the overall experience. However, not all reviews mentioned this, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its peace, quiet, and proximity to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia and enjoying the scenic beauty of North Wales.

Most guests found the cottage comfortable, noting its cosy atmosphere and well-equipped living spaces. However, some mentioned that the beds could be improved, slightly affecting the comfort score.

The property is commended for its modern kitchen, bathrooms, and outdoor space. Criticisms include the limited number of showers and issues with Wi-Fi connectivity due to thick walls. Parking difficulties were also mentioned.

Guests were pleased with the thoughtful touches, such as a well-detailed local guide and provision of wood for the fireplace. While a welcome pack was mentioned, it's important to note that such gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Carpet needed deep cleaning and hovering, whole house needed dusting, cobwebs everywhere. Oven was dirty and had foil with grease and grime still in it. Some towels were stained. Stains on settee. old recycling rubbish left outside down stairs toilet. All these point are mentioned as a to do job in a folder provided for the house cleaner. This is a lovely property and we loved everything else about it, but this is the worst accommodation for cleanliness we have ever stayed in.

The kitchen we found to be very well equipped however I had to wash all utensils and pans before using them and the fridge was dirty and so also had to be cleaned. The carpets haven't been vacuumed in a long time and there was a lot of dust on the surfaces. The cottage would benefit from a deep clean.
