Stretch out on the sofas to soak in the views or enjoy your favourite TV programmes, whip up tasty meals in the kitchen area then gather around the table to dine and plan your next day’s adventures – the dogs will be able to stay close at all times. Once they’re settled for the night, relax with a hot bath or shower in the family bathroom, then head off to sleep in your choice of a king or twin bedroom. Your living space is extended by a spacious balcony to the front of the property – enclosed and furnished with a table and chairs, it’s a lovely spot for relaxing evenings with far-reaching views.

Just a mile away, Aberdyfi has a 3-mile dunes-backed beach alongside a golf club and a choice of shops and eateries. The mountains meet the coastline here and the area is a haven for walkers – pick up the Welsh Coast Path and stroll 4 miles to the pretty town of Tywyn, a foodies’ delight with a promenade that’s the perfect place for dolphin spotting. Heritage steam engines transport passengers from Tywyn to Nant Gwernol, buried deep in the mountains above Abergynolwyn – the 7-mile journey passes through ancient meadows and woodlands within sight of Cadair Idris. For adventures from your doorstep, the Panorama Walk is a 4-mile trail that will take you high above Aberdyfi, with views of the estuary and, on the opposite side, Borth – home to Ceredigion’s longest beach.
