Make for the coast with a trip to Barmouth Beach (8 miles) for a dip in the turquoise waters or stroll along the sand with the sea stretching in one direction, and the mountains in the other. Avid walkers may wish to embrace the opportunity to walk the Wales Coast Path towards Harlech past Morfa Dyffryn Beach to admire the rugged scenery and panoramic viewpoints. For a challenge, you could tackle the mighty peak of Snowdon (29 miles) which climbs to a height of 1,085 metres, or hop aboard the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a more leisurely climb with equally impressive scenery.
