The Barn by Lyons is a beautiful, detached barn conversion resting on the Lyons Tyddyn Goronwy Holiday Park in Tal-Y-Bont, Gwynedd. Enjoying access to the park facilities, this inviting barn conversion serves as a wonderful base for a family looking to holiday in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Internally, the property enjoys a reverse-level layout with the bedrooms downstairs and the living space upstairs. Step inside to the entrance hallway with double height ceiling, open oak staircase and lots of glazing. Find the bedrooms on this level, each with wall-mounted Smart TVs and ample storage space, arranged with a master king-size with zip/link beds, a double and a twin, along with a bathroom where you can freshen up for the day. Whisk away upstairs and discover the spacious living area, boasting high ceilings, exposed A-frame beams, and an inviting sitting area, complete with two sofas arranged in front of a Smart TV, complete with an electric woodburning effect stove. Just behind lies a pool table for entertainment and a large dining table for mealtimes. Continue into the kitchen, a superbly presented space with all the mod cons to assist with home-cooking, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. To the outside lies a patio area with furniture and barbecue, perfect for a balmy evening, along with a hot tub for when you fancy a soak under the stars. There is also an indoor heated pool located in the owner’s nearby caravan park, so remember to bring your swimming gear! The village of Tal-Y-Bont is steeped in history, with an annual agricultural show and plenty of rural walking routes to fulfil your afternoon. Within a short walk you’ll reach an award-winning beach, where you can spend a summer’s day lazing on the shoreline, or travel further along the coastline to Aberystwyth, which is home to a bustling town centre with lots of lovely independent shops and a colourful Victorian promenade. Tal-Y-Bont is a coastal village, resting to the North of the popular town of Barmouth and is situated within the Snowdonia National Park. Within the village you will find a pristine beach with a backdrop of sand dunes and caravan parks. This compact village benefits from the railway station, a bus stop, a traditional pub called the Ysgethin Inn and an Italian takeaway. Within four miles you will find the resort town of Barmouth offering superb walking and cycling routes, as well as a number of outdoor activities to enjoy. Further afield, is the superb Coed y Brenin Forest Park and the enchanting village of Portmeirion. Tal-Y-Bont promises a wonderful base for touring this coastal location further.

Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Grandchildren loved the pool table and the hotub was lovely. Would definitely recommend and would love another holiday at this property.

We are a family of six adults and we never felt as though we were on top of each other. We require liked the open plan design upstairs and of course the pool table was a big hit. The barn was well equipped and everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. Thoughtful welcome gift of milk, butter, bread and cake. The only thing that would have been helpful is a larger fridge to accommodate the size of the property and more than 6 of each cutlery and crockery item. We loved our stay in the Barn.
