About this property

Nestled in the charming village of Dyffryn Ardudwy, Gwynedd is this charming three-bedroom property Tynygroes. Benefitting from pet-friendly accommodation, a well-equipped kitchen and a woodburning stove, Tynygroes is an idyllic base for a family or group of friends to relish the ultimate getaway in North Wales. Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and kick back in a homely sitting room, where you can warm up after a long walk, in front of the woodburning stove and Smart TV; an additional snug allows the perfect space for children to gather and make use of the Smart TV with Netlfix and Xbox.

Allow the designated chef to rustle up a tasty dish and settle down at the dining table to tuck in or step outside into the enclosed garden to delight in an alfresco feast, planning your itinerary for the days ahead. When the evening draws to a close, retreat upstairs to a sleek and spacious bathroom to indulge a long soak in the bath or freshen up with a revitalising shower before taking refuge in one of three neatly-presented bedrooms. Begin your day at Benar Beach where you can soak in the sea air or take a relaxing stroll to the Cors y Gedol Neolithic Site; further afield, discover the magnificent Harlech Castle or if you prefer a more challenging pastime, why not attempt to summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

In Barmouth, discover Barmouth Pier and Barmouth Bridge, a great way to appreciate the glorious Mawddach estuary and bask in the lovely vistas towards Barmouth Harbour. Walking enthusiasts will also appreciate this location as it is a brilliant base for accessing many of Snowdonia’s finest peaks and walking trails; refuel at one of several pubs, restaurants and cafes including Bistro Bermo, The Bank Restaurant and The Last Inn. For a wonderful holiday with friends or family, make Tynygroes your next home-from-home in North Wales.

Between the breathtaking golden beaches of the North Wales coastline and The Rhinogs, a section of the Snowdonia Mountains, is the peaceful community of Dyffryn Ardudwy. Due to its peculiar location, this quaint community enjoys a warm climate and has excellent local restaurants and bars. A fascinating variety of animals and birds, including soaring buzzards, can be found nearby. Only 4 miles away lies the little town of Harlech, which is dominated by its magnificent 13th-century castle, a World Heritage Site and the most stunning of all the castles Edward I built in North Wales. Due to its renowned Royal St. David's course, Harlech is well-liked among golfers. It also has a great selection of amenities, including some high-quality restaurants. A ferry to Fairbourne, where you may ride the miniature railway, or a boat journey out to sea where you can try your hand at mackerel fishing, are both available from the harbour in the nearby town of Barmouth. This is a great vacation destination all year round because of the wonders of Snowdonia National Park and stunning Cardigan Bay.

I know it is the end of the season. Pillows very stained we were prepared and took our own. The lounge curtains are falling down. The oven trays are rusty and need replacing now. They do not even fit in the oven. Light bulbs need replacing. Behind the settees needs a real good clean. Out side light does not work very much needed when you have a dog. May I suggest a mat inside the kichen door. We enjoyed our stay, not sure if I would stay there again.

On arrival ,we found the outside light wasn't working,4 out of 12 lights in the kitchen not working,2 lights in the bathroom & lamp in the first bedroom also not working. Numerous cobwebs throughout & woodlice behind the TV. Also one of the pillows in main bedroom was badly stained, luckily I take my own. Would have been nice if the grass was cut too.Apart from that the house was lovely, nice layout with good sized rooms, beds were comfortable. If we had booked for a different week ( more in peak season) would have asked for some money back for the reasons stated. Maybe if these issues were sorted & attention to detail was improved, some of the annual income spent on the property, the pricing would be more justified. We did enjoy our stay overall, just let down a bit. Many thanks Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android Show more

However upon staying there, there were quite a few large wood lice present in the bedrooms, and cobwebs between the drawers, and lots of dead ones and cobwebs behind sofa. Not sure of I would book this property again. I would definitely suggest cleaners do a much better job, us asthmatics are sensitive to dust! And dead bugs by the side of my bed. There were a few pet hairs found upstairs, I would have been very upset if I had small children with me. Also would have been handy to know that there is a cottage being built right over road, so we were pleasantly woken by the noise from that, something guests may like to know before booking. As I said lovely cottage, spacious, and nice garden too, with a friendly horse and a few rabbits, lovely area, that is usually very quiet. Just a few things I would have rather know before booking.
