Guests say

Hen Argoed Cottage in Harlech is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the property's character, spaciousness, and the warm hospitality of the hosts. The cottage's proximity to beaches and local attractions, along with its well-equipped facilities, contribute to a delightful stay. While some minor issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many guests planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers consistently mention the cottage being 'spotlessly clean' and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness that contribute to the comfort of their stay.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as 'gorgeous' with 'fab views' and easy access to beaches and local sights. Some minor comments about limited sea views and smells from diesel tanks prevent a perfect score.

Guests describe the cottage as 'spacious but very cosy' and 'comfortable', with special mentions of the quality bedding and peaceful setting. A few mentions of bumped heads due to low beams slightly affect the score.

The property is praised for being 'well-equipped' with modern conveniences and a well-fitted kitchen. However, some issues with hot water and the need for better frying pans suggest room for improvement in maintenance.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with the hosts' hospitality, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be quantified in this category.

Comfortable and in a beautiful location. Very well equipped. Extremely comfortable bed! The patio and lawn area is a lovely bonus with a great sea view. Beware steep steps though up to the patio. The owners are welcoming and friendly.

The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. A great beach in walking distance. Conveniently located for driving to local towns and villages. Despite being a working farm with a small campsite it was so quiet and peaceful. The owners were friendly and helpful

Great location, excellent facilities, cosy, clean and very comfortable. Kindness from the owners was heart warning. The open fire was an excellent feature on the cold evenings, though mainly for the atmosphere as the cottage was very warm. Weather was not very kind to us this time so we could not enjoy the little sitting area in the garden, which was a shame as it is perfect for having morning coffee and meals while enjoying the views. The cottage is in a very good location if you like visiting castles, stately houses, beaches and gardens. The nearby Animal Farm is also a great fun mainly for smaller kids but mines, slightly older, still enjoyed feeding and holding lambs and little goats. There is also a possibility to visit slate caverns on the same site. Harlech Castle is definitely worth visiting and it is in a walkable distance from the cottage, if you can identify a path which does not include walking on the roads. If you like ice cream please visit Hufenfa'r Castell - ice cream shop located just next to the castle - a very delicious treat. The only advice regarding the cottage is to mind your head as there are few places when you can find yourself in pain if not careful. It was also nice to have white bedding and towels, which is always reassuring.
