The Villa in Harlech offers stunning views, ample space, and a location ideal for exploring Snowdonia and local attractions. Guests appreciate the property's dog-friendly features and the welcoming touches like wine on arrival. While some find the steep access challenging, the vistas and comfortable living spaces are highlights, making it a recommended stay for families and groups.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property spotless, while others noted areas that required additional cleaning. The presence of dog hair and dust in some reviews suggests room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its amazing views and proximity to local attractions, including Harlech Castle and the beach. The steep access road is noted, but the scenic value and convenience largely outweigh this challenge.
Guests find the house comfortable, with spacious living areas and cosy bedrooms. However, some mention that the property can be a bit tired in places and that certain aspects may not be suitable for young children, affecting the overall comfort score.
The Villa is well-equipped for large groups, with a good kitchen and sociable living areas. However, guests have reported maintenance issues such as blunt knives, threadbare carpets, and a noisy boiler, suggesting that some facilities could benefit from updating.
While some guests mention receiving wine upon arrival, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The views from the sitting room and garden are fabulous which is good if youâre like us and no longer able to walk all day with a backpack. The owner replied promptly when we had a query. and was very helpful. We didnât switch the television on this holiday we donât often whilst away but feel the television is rather small for the room should you want to watch a film. We would have found the house even better if the dogs could have gone straight from the terrace to the lower garden it looks fairly easy to make doing that secure , it would make such a difference. We hope to book the Villa again in the future we didnât want to leave

Best equipped kitchen we have ever had for a rented property and weâve rented a lot. Would have been 5 stars but for a few minor easily fixed things like mouldy mastic, cracked tile and wobbly toilet seat in main bathroom. We are bath people and the bath is narrow and mainly enclosed which made it a little difficult to get out of for less able in the party but the showers were excellent. More outside space could easily be made directly available for those with dogs by enclosing side passage and allowing direct access from the enclosed patio to the rear garden. Finally when they say the road to the property is steep believe me itâs STEEP!

The views from the house were incredible. We loved harlech the little town the house is in. Lots of lovely walks, the beach and the castle were lots of fun. My family climbed snowdon, we visited caves, lakes and went on a steam train. If you wanted to get about as much as we did you would need a car. We fell in love with wales with the added bonus of a homely place to end our days. The villa suited our large family of 7 and 2 small pups. It had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable The outside space was a tranquil place to sit with a coffee in the early morning. I would recommend the villa for families who want to explore north wales
