Guests consistently praise Y Bwthyn for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location in Llanbedr. The cottage is well-equipped and maintained, with modern furnishings and a welcoming atmosphere. The proximity to local amenities, pubs, and beautiful natural surroundings adds to the charm. While parking can be challenging, the overall experience is highly regarded, with special appreciation for the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts.
Reviewers unanimously mention the high level of cleanliness, describing the cottage as 'very clean', 'perfectly clean', and 'well maintained'. This indicates exceptional standards of cleanliness.
The location is frequently highlighted as great, with easy access to pubs, shops, and natural attractions. However, one mention of the busy side road slightly impacts the score.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage cosy, well-designed, and furnished to a high standard. The presence of underfloor heating and a wood fire adds to the comfort.
Facilities are highly praised for being well-equipped and modern. One mention of underfloor heating not working perfectly is noted, but it did not significantly affect the stay.
Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs for both themselves and their pets, although it's important to note that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The village of Llanbedr has shops and two pubs, as well as offering bike hire, mountain walks and it’s also situated next to the dunes of a nature reserve and so a variety of wildlife can be seen. Just three miles away is the town of Harlech, which is well worth a visit with its wonderful castle and golf course, and both the resorts of Barmouth and Fairbourne are within reach. Your adventure to North Wales begins at Y Bwthyn.
Tucked up in a thick forest between the Snowdonia Mountains (including the Rhinogs) and the beautiful golden sands of the North Wales coast is the picturesque settlement of Llanbedr. There are two great pubs in this picturesque village, which is located next to the picturesque River Artro and enjoys a mild climate thanks to its unusual position behind the high dunes of a nature reserve. The area also features a wide variety of wildlife and birds, convenient local shops, bike rental, and access to beautiful mountain walks. A mere four kilometres away, in the little town of Harlech, stands Harlech Castle, the most remarkable of Edward I's fortifications in North Wales and a World Heritage Site since its inclusion on the list in 1987. Golfers go to Harlech for its world-famous Royal St. David's course, but the town also has a beautiful six-mile long sandy beach, great for relaxing strolls and family enjoyment. The nearby town of Barmouth is home to the spectacular Panorama Walk along the stunning Mawddach Estuary, which boasts views that have been called "the most sublime view in Europe" by John Ruskin, as well as a harbour where you can take a ferry to Fairbourne and ride the miniature railway there or head out to sea and try your hand at mackerel fishing. This is an excellent vacation spot all year round due to the presence of Snowdonia National Park and the stunning Cardigan Bay.

It's situated in a beautiful village very close to 2 lovely pubs with excellent food. There was a lovely welcome pack for us and our dog and the owners were very responsive when needed. An absolute gem of a place, highly recommended 5*!
