The remaining three bedrooms are set on the first floor and include a double with en-suite, a further double, and a single, all serviced by a spacious bathroom, perfect for soaking in after long walks. Awaken to a stroll across the luscious lawns of Bryn Berthen, before venturing further towards the beauty spots of Gwaith Powdwr North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, Plas Brondanw Gardens, and Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife - Ospreys. Heading to the coast, stop off at Porthmadog, home to a Maritime Museum, Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, and the golden sands of Borth y Gest Beach, before reaching Portmeirion and its Italian village, dotted with charming eateries, boutique shops, and pristine gardens. Travelling into the national park, grab your walking boots and hike towards Gelert's Grave, Beddgelert Forest, and the Sygun Copper Mine, offering underground tours and audio. Experience a unique setting at Bryn Berthen.

The expansive community of Penrhyndeudraeth is home to several stores, eateries, a post office, and a train station that connects to the Ffestiniog Railway. The renowned, distinctive Italianate village of Portmeirion, which served as the setting for the television series The Prisoner, is only two miles away. It is encircled by sand beaches and alluring woodlands. A little farther on lies the harbour town of Porthmadog, from which you can take the Ffestiniog Railway to the slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, also known as "the town that roofed the world." The charming village of Beddgelert, to the north, is situated in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, where you can spend hours taking in the breath-taking scenery on foot or by bicycle. It is built around the Afon Glaslyn River and offers craft stores, pubs, tea rooms, restaurants, and an enchanting riverside walk.

Photos looked nothing like the actual house. Full of spider webs and spiders. No electricity for the first night. No entry instructions provided for gates and access to key box. We got lucky with the code to access the key. We cut our stay short by 2 nights and lost most of the first night cleaning and trying to access the fuse box. No customer services available on a Sunday evening from Sykes. Zero response from owner despite several messages during the week leading up to stay. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Curtains would fall down at the slightest touch. Bed frame in main bedroom was oversized, causing a trip hazard king sized frame with a double mattress. Bed was almost like a waterbed as it had two mattresses on. Sinks in downstairs bedroom were dirty. Sink in kitchen so unpractical for use other than washing hands so everything had to go in dishwasher. Single bed upstairs was a wobbly camp bed. Nice location but wouldn't stay again.
