Nestled in part of a historic 17th-century property and situated amongst 5 acres of beautifully scenic shared grounds, this charming rural retreat is the perfect base for couples and families keen to uncover the natural beauty of the magnificent Dyfi Valley.
Brimming with period charm, boasting oak beams and beautiful slate floor tiles, the cosy lounge/diner boasts a truly peaceful ambience; fire up the roaring wood burner to keep toes toasty as you unwind and dine with loved ones long into the evening. Where contemporary touches and rustic character coexist in perfect harmony, the light and bright kitchen with its traditional décor in keeping with the cottage's rich history will inspire you to get creative with your local produce. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, one double with a four-poster bed and one twin, featuring lovely views and charming period touches that'll transport you to centuries past. Outside, make the most of your fresh, countryside air by dining alfresco on the paved patio before exploring the 5 acres of shared grounds; an expansive lawn, scenic woodland and wildlife pond await to be discovered.
Perfect for lovers of the great outdoors, this picturesque spot deep in the wild Welsh countryside is just 8.5 miles from Snowdonia National Park, which boasts glorious, unspoilt scenery and opportunities for mountain biking, hiking and mountaineering. Venture to the vibrant market town of Machynlleth just under 8 miles away, home to the oldest street market in Britain, which you can explore every Wednesday, and plenty of quirky shops, restaurants and cafés, plus MOMA Wales (8 miles), a must-see for art lovers. Passing through Machynlleth, join the Dyfi Valley Way footpath, following the River Dyfi from the estuary in Aberdyfi to the source at the summit of Aran Fawddwy.
