  Punch Cottage was overall very good, in a beautiful and quiet location.

  Very comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Thank you for the milk, bread and cookies left for our arrival and for agreeing to allow us an 11am check out on the Sunday. There were a few things, which could be easily fixed, which let the property down as follows: mould on the wall in the master bedroom ensuite; the master bedroom door would not close completely; there was a missing hotwater tap top in the master bedroom ensuite, the net curtain in the master bedroom did not fit properly, it was too long; the sofas needed a little cleaning; on arrival we found half a toilet roll between the two bathrooms with only one full roll spare which for 4 people we considered was not enough. We would have appreciated a few spare rolls. All rooms would benefit from a deep clean and perhaps a fresh coat of paint. We would make a return visit subject to these concerns being addressed.

  Punch Cottage is a delightful and very well equipped cottage.

  We went with my sister and her husband and as the cottage has an en-suite and bathroom we had one each per couple. The day living accommodations are upstairs & open plan and very comfortable. The grounds were exceptional with a lake occupied by six swans, many ducks and a boat, together with gloriously well kept grounds. The Games Room was a bonus for us 'big kids' to expel some energy too. There are walks of medium or longer lengths designed for walking the dog. The location of the cottage is good for day trips out being half a mile from the A12, but it is also very quiet and little effected by the proximity. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with our welcome 'pack' of milk, bread and scrummy cookies. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr & Mrs Blythe for facilitating our short break away in such lovely surroundings. Excellent !!

  This is an incredible find which we liked so much we have now stayed here twice. Perfectly located on the outskirts of a charming village yet on a quiet one way street void of any traffic to speak of but also within short walking distance to the village centre. Off street parking, which I personally find very important, is available at this house. Beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard. A well laid out kitchen with all appliances clean and in good order. An efficient shower and bath on the first floor with a copious hot water supply. Compfy beds, cosy rooms, I could type endlessly on how great a find this wee house is but quite honestly, it is just fabulous.

  Just returned from a week at the Cowshed. A lovely quiet location yet not far from town/coast etc. An unusual, quality property quipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need. Very dog friendly, from the doggy treats, bowl, towel, lovely dog bed to the large private outdoor space that was totally secure and very clean/tidy. Footpaths straight from the door led off in all directions so there was no shortage of lovely walks with the dog. Plenty of places to explore locally and most are dog friendly. All in all a superb week. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and I would definitely go back/recommend to others (in fact I already have!)

  Lovely stay at The Shepherds Hut.

  Very approachable owner on site. They’ve made the hut and little garden very pretty. Peaceful surroundings and very close to Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge. Apparently some lovely dog friendly beaches fairly close by but we didn’t know this until it was too late so have a chat with owner about where they are located …. Planned to walk to Sutton Hoo and this is possible but part of it was boggy so we went by car- 2 mins! Lovely walks around the site and dog friendly cafe, although they’re not allowed in exhibition and House. The Wi-Fi was not great and not as listed by Sykes so be aware of this and garden not enclosed.
