An amazing barn conversion with wonderful views across the valley.
Little House is an amazing barn conversion set amongst a cluster of cottages in a secret little valley nestling in the rolling hills south of Matlock. The interior is beautifully decorated and furnished. The double-sided log burning stove, feature staircase, vaulted bedroom with quiet reading area and incredible views make this a very special place. The terrace, balcony and patio are ideal places to have a glass or two while drinking in the views.
This is the perfect base from which to explore the numerous local holiday attractions. The High Peak Trail is great for walkers and cyclists. Carsington Water with its wild water sports, cycle trails and birdwatching is just over the hill. The lovely historic town of Wirksworth with heritage railway, heritage trail, Northern Lights little cinema, and many a pub and restaurant is just ten minutes drive away. Belper’s award-winning market town in the Derwent Valley World Heritage Corridor is another must.
There are also lots of other Peak District attractions in the surrounding hills. Magnificent Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just up the Derwent Valley. The National Tramway Museum, Peak Rail's steam trains and the Heights of Abraham cable cars are well worth a visit. Venture beyond famous Bakewell and you are in the real Peaks with sparkling rivers, picturesque villages, incredible views from the gritstone edges and country pubs galore.

Absolutely beautiful holiday home. It was absolutely spotless and lovely welcome gifts for ourselves and our dog, Bonnie. It was just what was needed, peace and quiet but so lovely to hear the sheep and cows plus the bonus of tawny owls at night. We can also highly recommend the Bear Inn that’s local due to its gorgeous food. Will definitely be recommending this beautiful place to people.

It was also nice and warm. The views were spectacular and local walks plentiful. The local pub was as also very good. We had a great time.
