High Ridge in Ambleside offers a central location with spacious rooms and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. While some guests mention issues with maintenance and cleanliness, the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces are frequently praised. The unique layout and character of the apartment, along with its homely feel, contribute to a generally positive experience for visitors.
Guests have reported concerns with cleanliness, including the presence of damp stains, a smell in the living room, and a general need for a more thorough cleaning. Some guests found the property to be clean, but the negative comments suggest room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for being central and quiet, with easy access to local amenities and scenic walks. The provision of a parking permit is appreciated, although there were some issues with its availability.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. While the spaciousness and homely feel are positives, complaints about hard mattresses, squeaky beds, and inconsistent water temperature in the shower suggest that comfort could be enhanced.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space. However, maintenance issues such as water damage, a non-functional oven, and WiFi problems have been noted, indicating a need for attention to these areas.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the property owners' consideration for guests' experiences.

The apartment needs a lot of work. I have a catalogue of pictures of faults. It wasn't particularly clean. All key touch points I.e. door handles, bathroom. Not clean. Damaged sink plug in the bathroom. Re grouting and cleaning in the Bath/shower. Smells damp. Kitchen sink stained. Not acceptable for the price we paid.

Itâs in a perfect central location overlooking the high street, with shops and walks from the doorstep. Warm, clean and cosy with good facilities. Good for couples or families with older children (as there are steps up to the property and some inside the property). Great that dogs are also welcome with the park being a 5 minute walk away. Weâd recommend blinds in the main bedroom (or blackout in both) and a paint refresh on 1 wall in the main bedroom as everything has been recently decorated.
