Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

Spacious, modern and well equiped for the two of us (+the dog!). The apartment was clean and comfortable, and despite our stay being in November, was pleasantly warm with a modern "Nest" thermostat to control the heating. The property is literally a two minute walk from Alnmouth's fantastic beach. And while this is not a complaint, I feel it worth mentioning that being a ground floor apartment, a degree of noise from the first floor occupants might be expected. Overall though, a great place to stay!

Kitchen is well equipped and living room is cosy. Some lovely touches like a collection of board games and spare throws and blankets make it a lovely home from home. Will definitely be booking again for our 3rd visit .

Yet again we werenât disappointed. The kitchen is very well equipped, including dishwasher tablets, cleaning products etc which you donât always get in a rental. All areas are of the flat are very clean, tidy and very comfortable. Positioned very near the beach, pubs and restaurants of Alnmouth. A lovely weekend break - pity we couldnât have stayed longer. We will be back very soon. Thank you
