We are a group of women friends and remember the first time we stayed there were more single beds. This had suited us better but we made do with the doubles. We particularly enjoy cooking a Christmas dinner on one of the evenings and eating together and Rose House is good for this. We also used local restaurants which were great. We hopefully won't leave it 20 years before we come again.

There was an issue with the smoke alarms that the owner resolved promptly. However, there were quite a few areas that needed a good clean, including the kitchen. We had to clean the cooker before use, but couldn't figure out how to remove the oven chips that had been left underneath the cooker. Bins hadn't been emptied, wood burner not cleaned after use (we didn't use it) and other issues. But the house is amazing and we will probably return.

Furnished really well with everything in place for a roomy stay and great kitchen which is well equipped. Location just a minutes walk to the fabulous Alnmouth beach and village is ideal. We loved the welcome basket and wine.
