Rose House is highly praised for its superb location, comfort, and well-equipped facilities, making it ideal for families and friends. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches and the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities. Some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness lapses are noted, but overall, the property delivers a delightful stay.
Most guests found Rose House to be clean and well-kept. However, there were isolated reports of mould in the bath areas and some kitchen items not being up to standard, which suggests room for improvement in cleanliness.
The location of Rose House is consistently lauded, with guests loving its proximity to the beach, local eateries, and attractions. It is considered an ideal base for exploring Northumberland.
Guests find the house comfortable, spacious, and suitable for large groups and families. There are some comments about seating being low for mature guests, but overall, the comfort level is high.
The house is well-equipped for a self-catering stay, with guests mentioning a well-stocked kitchen and ample space. However, points are deducted for reported issues with Wi-Fi coverage and a non-working shower.
The owner's thoughtfulness is noted, with calls to check on guests and a welcome basket mentioned. While these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

There was an issue with the smoke alarms that the owner resolved promptly. However, there were quite a few areas that needed a good clean, including the kitchen. We had to clean the cooker before use, but couldn't figure out how to remove the oven chips that had been left underneath the cooker. Bins hadn't been emptied, wood burner not cleaned after use (we didn't use it) and other issues. But the house is amazing and we will probably return.

Furnished really well with everything in place for a roomy stay and great kitchen which is well equipped. Location just a minutes walk to the fabulous Alnmouth beach and village is ideal. We loved the welcome basket and wine.

We definitely hope to come again! Just a couple of things -- in the front fist floor bedroom one of the overhead light fittings was broken (before we arrived!) and the door into the ensuite there does not even latch, let alone lock; neither were a problem for us but they may be for some people.
