Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Wansbeck Lodge for its stunning views, peaceful setting, and secure garden ideal for dogs. The property's cleanliness and high-quality facilities contribute to a comfortable stay, with many visitors expressing a desire to return. The location is celebrated for its proximity to both countryside and coast, enhancing the appeal for those seeking a tranquil retreat.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews frequently commend the lodge for its immaculate condition upon arrival, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The property is described as spotless, with clean windows and walkways, contributing to guests' overall satisfaction.

The lodge's location is highly regarded for its quiet country setting with superb views and proximity to local attractions. Its central position allows for easy exploration of Northumberland's countryside and beaches, although some guests noted increased visitor numbers at popular spots.

While many guests find the lodge comfortable and the beds cosy, there are comments about the settees being low and less comfortable. Suggestions for higher-backed chairs with support for those with mobility issues indicate room for improvement in seating comfort.

The lodge is well-equipped, with guests appreciating the high standard of equipment and the thoughtful inclusion of a secure field for dog walking. However, minor issues such as a squeaky bed and a tricky shower screen suggest that some maintenance is required.

While guests mention a welcome bottle of wine and the provision of a secure garden for pets, there are not enough references to specific thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

It was a lovely place to stay

It is in a good location with easy access to both the countryside and the coast. For anyone with a pet it has a secure garden and dogs are allowed into many places nearby and on the beaches. We had a lovely time, despite the weather, and hope to come again next year.

Very comfy clean and roomy. The enclosed lawned garden was great for our dog and the meadow at the side of the lodge was an added bonus for off lead fun. Beautiful views, clean air and a peaceful setting. We have already rebooked to visit this place again later in the year, which l think says it all. 10 out of 10.
