Guests say

Humbleton Cottage in Wooler, Northumberland, is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location for exploring the local area. Guests appreciate the friendly locals, the proximity to the Tankerville Arms for dining, and the modern amenities provided. While some minor issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests planning to return.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being immaculate, comfortable, and clean. Only one review mentioned a minor issue with undercooked chips at the nearby pub, which does not directly relate to the cottage's cleanliness.

The location is consistently praised for being a great base for exploring Northumberland, with easy access to the coast and national park. The proximity to the Tankerville Arms and local amenities is also appreciated.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of comfy beds and a welcoming living area. However, one review noted that the sofas were not comfortable and suggested the addition of a fan for warmer months, slightly impacting the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with modern amenities like Wi-Fi and smart TVs. Some guests noted the lack of wardrobes, unclear parking arrangements, and the need for better kitchen provisions, which suggests room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

First night restaurant was busy however we were able to get a table, food okay, so went back on Sunday for a roast dinner! I can only say it was the worst that I have ever experienced, so we didn't go back again.

It was easily made warm. Good location. When there was a problem it was quickly remedy.

I notified Sykes of a large puncture hole behind the door where the roller blind had made contact with the wall. Bad positioning as it meant you couldn’t open the door fully. Location was eat, being on the grounds of the Inn and being able to access the beer garden was a pleasant end to our busy exploring days. We took our dog and he settled really quickly. We had a super 3 days and would certainly return in the future.
