Westwinds is a well-regarded cottage in Grange-Over-Sands, praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and comfortable furnishings. The property's location offers a quiet retreat with easy access to local attractions, though the steep hill may challenge those with mobility issues. The kitchen is well-equipped, and guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like welcome snacks, although these are not guaranteed.
The majority of guests found Westwinds to be spotlessly clean, with high-quality bed linen and towels. A few isolated incidents of a doggy smell and wet towels were mentioned, but these appear to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The property boasts great views and a peaceful setting, ideal for exploring the Southern Lakes and Morecambe Bay area. However, several reviews mention the steep hill access, which may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those with mobility issues.
Guests generally found the property comfortable, with a lovely lounge, conservatory, and comfortable beds. Some concerns were raised about the suitability of the twin rooms for adults and the presence of steps, which could affect guests with mobility issues.
The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and offers good Wi-Fi. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as window cleaning, a tired kitchen, and poor shower pressure. The heating system and a broken TV were also points of contention.
While guests have mentioned welcome snacks and found the property to be well-equipped, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Grange-over-Sands has one of the mildest climates in northern England, nestled between the Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Grange-over-Sands was a small fishing village before the Furness Railway. The town offers a traffic-free promenade, ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts, and bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which retain their charm and character, and Cartmel, the home of sticky toffee pudding, with its famous racecourse and the 4th best restaurant in the UK, L'Enclume.

Sitting looking out of the window was mesmerising. The property was clean and tidy and had everything needed for a holiday. The only negatives were lack of clothes hanging space in the two twin rooms and low water pressure in shower but didn't spoil the holiday and would not stop me from booking again.
