Greystones is a well-received cottage in Cumbria, praised for its cleanliness, friendly owners, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate its cosy atmosphere, convenient location near the M6, and suitability for peaceful retreats. While some find the space snug for larger groups, the overall sentiment is positive, with many planning to return.

The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless and well-maintained. This suggests a high standard of hygiene and care.

The location is generally praised for its proximity to the M6 and accessibility to the Lake District and other attractions. Some concerns about the narrow access lane and remoteness are noted, but the location is mostly seen as a positive feature.

Comfort is highlighted in several reviews, with mentions of cosy beds and a warm atmosphere. However, a few guests found the accommodation cramped for larger parties, slightly impacting the comfort score.

Facilities are well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and secure outdoor area. Some guests suggest improvements and upgrades to certain amenities, indicating room for enhancement.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures of the owners, such as welcome gifts of milk, biscuits, and juice. While these acts are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are subject to the owners' discretion and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Tucked away in a beautiful corner of the countryside in a great area - it made it easy for us to visit friends nearby and explore The Lakes. I have seen comments regarding the lane to the property, however, we didn’t have any issues with this and found the cottage very easy to get to. The property itself was very clean and very well maintained upon entry. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and although the kitchen may be small, you do not want for anything - it is exceptionally well stocked and had everything we required. If I had to mention anything, I would suggest that the television in the living room would be drawn a little lower on the wall - it is slightly too high. However, this did not bother our stay at all. Thank you for the thoughtful milk and biscuits!
