  We’ve had a wonderful time staying in your fabulous apartment. You have done a fabulous job furnishing it to such a high standard it looks amazing. Thank you for the welcome basket and comfy bed/blanket and treats for our dog. They were much appreciated. The apartment is an excellent, central location yet was very peaceful. We enjoyed the dog friendly beaches visiting Alnmouth and Bamburgh. We did one of our favourite walks from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle – well worth going to the castle too for the views alone. We enjoyed dinner at the Fish Shack – we booked one of the outdoor boats (Dog friendly) and ice cream at Spurreli’s in Amble. We had a lovely lunch at the Potted Lobster (Dog friendly) in Bamburgh and a very tasty curry from Mumbai Flavours in Alnwick. Enjoyed coffee and Cakes at Barter Books. It certainly made it so much more easier when everywhere is so dog friendly! We’ve had a super time – the apartment was a lovely place to come to each day. Many Thanks.

  We have stayed in many self-catering cottages and flats before but this was by far the best. everything was of highest quality and standard. We have had a wonderfully relaxing time and felt very much at home in this exceptionally welcoming flat. We were here to celebrate an 89th Birthday and it was a great success. All three of us felt that the time here was too short. Food at the Market Tavern, Grannies and Caffe Tirreno was outstanding. If you have time, go to Warkworth for a hot chocolate. The best we’ve ever had! We will be back again, in the meantime we haven’t found our own place in Alnwick. Almost forgot to mention that the cleanliness and comfort was the best we’ve ever experienced. Thanks for everything.

  North star has been the perfect base for our holiday in Northumberland. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well equipped and you couldn’t ask for a more well-placed location, close to all local attractions and amenities. Alwnick is an excellent base to explore the Northumberland coast and further afield. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are definitely worth a visit if you want to stay locally one day. We also visited the National Trust properties – Craigside and Wallington. The Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. Berwick, Bamburgh Castle, Kielder & Vindolanda! North Star is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed and if we come back to this part of the region, we’d be happy to stay here again.

  My husband and I have just returned from a stay at North Star in Alnwick. We’ve booked through Coquet Cottages before and have in fact got another stay planned for October in one of their other properties. The apartment is fantastic, from the moment we walked in we felt super happy as it was absolutely immaculate, there was a fantastic hamper waiting for us and it was clear to see immediately that no expense has been spared when it comes to the décor, quality of the furniture/bedding and accessories. It’s a great location too, really close to lots of amenities as well as walks with our dog. A great find and another Coquet Cottages property that we will book again.

  We had a delightful stay in this fantastic apartment! The apartment was very well equipped, beautifully clean and exceptionally comfortable. As well as being well located for a good range of eateries and local attractions. Our six year old daughter loved her personalised pouch of goodies! It was also lovely to receive some baked goods. We loved the level of comfort and cleanliness. We felt very reassured in the current climate that everything had been cleaned to a high standard. The beds were supremely comfortable and we all slept very well! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book through Coquet Cottages again!
